I posted I posted!

I haven't posted in forever, so caution this one is gonna be long! We have been super busy this last month but mostly because Ben ditched us and played Army in Cali for 4 weeks leaving the kids and I to juggle school, work, tball, dance, and lots of other ridiculous events. It was fuuun, but boy were we excited to welcome him home! The kids and I replanted flower beds, painted the dining room, painted the sun room, de-flead the dog and house (just in case), had the house get hit by lightning, paid double in babysitting ($150 a night...yikes) and of course Easton had to get the funky gunk and miss a whole week of school... all while he was gone. Just in case you wonder Ben...you were missed! Here's some more of what we have been up to...
The weather warmed up for awhile so we took advantage of the beach a few times...good thing we did because now we have had rain for 2 weeks. The rain has brought much cooler weather so despite the flat hair and wetness Ill take the rainy days with non humid cool temps any day!
We ventured to South Carolina with the Blackwell's for a Marine Airshow...the Blue Angels were there and something about watching them that makes you feel very patriotic! Sorry no pics of them we slacked! The kids got to climb inside Helicopters so they had a great time and it wasn't too hot so that was a bonus!

If you look inside Easton was the "pilot" for that flight. I think the Airshow made Ben all that much more anxious to find out about his branch transfer to Aviation. Keep your fingers crossed for us that we get it since its the only reason we didn't get out in May as planned.

Paisley had her first dance recital. Words do not describe the cuteness of it all and watching those lil girls prance around like they were stars! They did a ballet routine and then a tumbling routine. Our pics are really bad but the pic below is of Pais showing off and holding her back bend FOREVER and the teachers having to physically move her off the mat. She held it and held it and then put all her weight on her head and was waving her arms all over...shes a mess!

Today was Easton's last day of school...its now 1:50...we got home from the indoor "field day" about noon and already him and Pais have done a timeout for fighting and have been separated in their rooms twice. This is going to be a loooooong summer. I cannot believe that next year I will have 2 kids in school and no kids at home...what will I do with myself!?! I'm not ready to have my kids gone from home all day yet.
